Toronto and Niagra Falls

5/24 – 5/27/13

Memorial Day weekend, we decided to go to Toronto.  We flew direct on American and stayed at the Radisson Admiral Hotel in downtown and on the waterfront.  We got an upgrade to a very unique suite with a fireplace, fur rugs and telescopes.  They had a nice heated pool with a great view of CN Tower.  Natalie and I had a really fun time swimming in the pool and playing with a toy we found named “dookie”.

We enjoyed our time walking around the city and went to a Blue Jays vs. Orioles game at the Sky Dome.

We had a rental car, so we took a side trip to Niagra falls.  We stayed at the Hilton Niagra and had an awesome fireplace suite overlooking the falls.  In the lobby of the hotel, we passed by Rush singer Getty Lee with his kids.  I later learned that he was a Toronto native.  We took a ride on the Lady of the Lake boat and got up close and personal with falls.  We were very impressed with Niagra falls.  On the way back to Toronto, we stumbled upon some kind of civil war reenactment.  We stopped for a while to watch.
